Gosh I've missed the community here!
Quick wrap up....I graduated with my BS in Housing in June, but no jobs in that field, so...I'm returning to pursue my graduate degree this fall. I've received an assistanceship, so tuition will be paid, as will I for some teaching hours. I begin with two sections of entry level drafting. Sure hope I don't steer them astray!
I look forward to sharing a few shots with you guys and catching up on all the news. Be sure to note me as to what you're doing and how you're doing. I am tens of thousands behind in all your fabulous deviations, so if there's one you are particularly proud of please let me know, as I will have to start my viewing from today.....though it pains me to think of what I will be missing since New Year's!
Look forward to all your inspiring pieces and returning to the loop!
Yippee!

Happy New Year!
Hey! I've found a few spare moments to touch base here. I have missed every one and all the great inspiration that you provide me. I am over 3,000 deviations in 'a rears' and I have over 800 messages to respond to. It is not likely that I will get that accomplished any time in the near future-though I will have a go at it! :)
2009 looks bleak for free time as I plan to continue my 40 hours at the day job and squeeze in 15 hours of credits at the university. My intent is to walk through graduation in June, so there is six months of nose to the grindstone to look forward to, and then perhaps graduate work.
The family stays busy as well
Absence explained
Thank you to those of you who have noted my absence and inquired as to my whereabouts. Life has taken me away for a bit, and will continue to limit my time here for a good while yet.
Sadly my father has had some significant health issues. He is resting well and laying low, but my parents have needed assistance with the fall harvest and regular household chores. We check in daily and help when we can.
Happily I have returned to school to complete my housing degree. I have been away a year and I am anxious to finish...perhaps by Spring of '09. I intend to specialize in affordable housing and catering to the aging populations accessibilit
Features Tag Via Carterr
Here's how this one will work, first 10 people to comment, I will feature three things you favorited. But I will also feature one of your images as well. (Sorry I don't have a subscription, so please bear with the links)
You in turn must then create a journal with 3 things I faved and invite 10 more people to do the same, so a total of 11 features of other peoples art. Just be clear in the description you let people know it is the deviants faves and not their own art.
This way we can see what everyone is into, which is another way of promoting work and spreading that feel good vibe.
Firstly, three of my favourites

Long Awaited Watercolors
Greetings, my friends on DA, I would like to introduce to you my guest typer, my oldest son. Due to a regrettable window closing incident-that I'm sure will be humorous later, but is throbbing now-I am unable to type for myself.
To be brief, the long awaited watercolors have been photographed instead of scanned and the first one watermarked for your comments. Injury limits posting tonight to only one, and it may be a while before more are forthcoming. This is an old painting from 2002 done with a school art teacher leading a small group of parents.
